• Specializations may include fields such as Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, etc.
• Objectives:
• To provide in-depth knowledge in a specific area of medicine.
• To develop clinical and diagnostic skills needed for effective patient care.
• To train physicians for roles in clinical practice, research, and academia.
• DNB (Diplomate of National Board)
• Overview:
• DNB is a postgraduate medical qualification granted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) in India.
• It is aimed at providing training in various medical and surgical specialties.
• Training:
• DNB programs typically require candidates to have completed an MBBS and may be preferred for candidates who have completed a residency in a specific field.
• Training duration usually varies between three years for most specialties and one or two years for certain others (including some super-specialties).
