Key responsibilities also include

• Preoperative Responsibilities
• Patient Assessment: Conducting thorough preoperative evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and evaluating risk factors for anesthesia.
• Informed Consent: Communicating the anesthesia plan to the patient, explaining the risks and benefits, and obtaining informed consent.
• Pre-anesthesia Optimization: Collaborating with other healthcare providers to optimize the patient's medical condition prior to surgery (e.g., managing chronic diseases, addressing medications).
• Anesthesia Plan Development: Creating an individualized anesthesia plan based on the patient's medical history, type of surgery, and personal preferences.
• Medication Management: Providing instructions for preoperative medication use, including fasting guidelines and any necessary premedications to reduce anxiety or facilitate sedation.
